The 'Wohnprojekt Augsburg" (Augsburg Housing Project) is a cooperation between 'Tür an Tür-Integrationsprojekte gGmbH' and 'Diakonisches Werk Augsburg e.V..' The project combines the integration guide project of the
city and
district of Augsburg and the
housing project for people with a migration background and works in dialog with voluntary and full-time actors from the areas of housing & accommodation and flight & asylum. It offers various
advisory, training and information services for volunteers and people looking for accommodation on the subject of housing and finding accommodation.
The aim is to promote the independent orientation and equal participation of refugees on the Augsburg housing market. Full-time and volunteer employees support those looking for accommodation with, among other things
- Researching housing offers
- Making contact with landlords and housing associations
- Communicating with landlords and the offices and authorities involved
- Accompaniment to viewing appointments
For us, the search for accommodation is not just about finding suitable living space, but encompasses much more. The commitment and support of full-time employees and volunteers are therefore an important and necessary support and make a decisive contribution to making it easier to settle into a new home.
We are always looking for committed people who have the time and desire to support and accompany refugees who are still living in accommodation in their search for accommodation. In addition to language support, you can help with looking through apartment advertisements on the Internet or in the newspaper, writing to landlords or preparing for viewing appointments.
