About the volunteering opportunity

Would you like to support a social organization and gain valuable experience in organization and event management? The Unionhilfswerk charitable foundation Unionhilfswerk-Förderstiftung - Unionhilfswerk is looking for one or two dedicated volunteers to support our team with the organization of our concerts.

Every year, the Förderstiftung organizes 2-3 benefit concerts Benefit Concerts - Unionhilfswerk in aid of hospice work for the elderly. We are looking for someone with an interest in working with older people and organizing events in the run-up to and on-site support for the concerts. Next date is January 18, 2026, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Konzerthaus am Gendarmenmarkt.

Your Tasks

  • Support and participation in local events
  • Participation in planning meetings with the full-time team
  • Taking on smaller organizational tasks
  • possibly instructing other volunteers, depending on the type of event in question
  • possibly representing the full-time colleagues on site

What's needed

Volunteers must be native German speakers.
  • Interest in working with older people
  • Interest in event and project management and possibly previous experience
  • Reliability and willingness to take part in the preparatory meetings
  • Basic knowledge of digital tools (e.g. e-mail communication)
  • Enjoy working with various stakeholders
