About the volunteering opportunity
Our district and family center regularly hosts events for parents, families and interested parties. So that mothers and fathers can take part in a relaxed manner, we offer loving childcare at the same time.
We are looking for committed people who enjoy accompanying and keeping children occupied for a limited period of time. During the events, you will play, do handicrafts or read with the children and create a friendly, safe atmosphere.
The offer is a valuable support for families in our district and helps to ensure that everyone can take part in our events. If you have the time and desire to help us with childcare, we would be delighted to hear from you!
Your Tasks
- Supervising children during ongoing events at the district and family center
- Creating a friendly, safe and inviting atmosphere
- Playing, crafting, painting or (pre-)reading with the children
- Accompanying and supervising children in small groups
- Contact person for children and, if necessary, their parents during childcare hours
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
- Enjoy working with children and families
- Reliability and a sense of responsibility
- Patience, empathy and sensitivity
- Openness and friendliness towards people from different cultures
- A desire to engage, accompany and support children
- Ability to work in a team and willingness to work with other volunteers
- (Experience in childcare is nice, but not a prerequisite - we are happy to accompany you!)
