About the volunteering opportunity
In the ArrivalAid Hearing and Complaint Support Service, specially qualified volunteers prepare asylum seekers for their hearing with the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) or, if necessary, for a hearing in an administrative court.
Your Tasks
As a Complaint Companion you prepare asylum seekers for the decisive dates in the asylum procedure. You will talk to them about the flight story and simulate the hearing situation at the Federal Office or the hearing at the Administrative Court. This is not a matter of legal advice, but of support and assistance.
What's needed
You should bring time and motivation (from 4 hours per month for approx. 1 year) for an commitment. Prerequisite is the participation in an introductory training course.
