About the volunteering opportunity
Dünja Mädchen-Kultur-Treff is a place for girls and young women between the ages of 8 and 25 from different cultures. They receive help with their homework, computer training as well as advice and support with all questions about school, training, work and problems. Here they can make friends, improve their language skills and exchange ideas about religions and cultures. They can also spend their free time at Dünja and go on excursions, and there is always a vacation program.
Dünja is also a participation office, i.e. if girls want to change something in their neighborhood, Dünja is their point of contact and supports them with activities.
Parents also have their place at Dünja. Talks, advice and women's groups are offered. Dünja has already been awarded various prizes, including the Berlin Special Integration Prize and the Integration Prize of the Bezirk Mitte.
Your Tasks
We are looking for volunteers
who regularly spend 2-3.5 hours per week
from 05.00 to 07:30 pm
To help us with homework and learning support for girls and young women of all grades and school types.
As a girls' club, we are looking for women who enjoy passing on their knowledge.
We also welcome language skills in English, Spanish, French, Arabic and/or Persian.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, basic German skills are required.
Desire and pleasure in passing on knowledge. Homework help from 3rd to 13th grade. Help with applications, homework and learning for school.
Time required
Regularly
Approx. 2 hours per week.
On weekdays, at night
2-3.5 hours a week (if less is possible, that's okay too).
