About the volunteering opportunity
Local politicians are increasingly exposed to hostility. This can even lead to them resigning from office. With our workshops, we support local politicians in the fight against hate and hate speech. We are therefore looking for volunteers for our youth education work.
The work takes place online, at face-to-face events by arrangement.

Your Tasks
Activity
With our workshops, we empower (future) local politicians in dealing with hate and violence. We are looking for volunteers to work on the further development of our existing educational programs and/or on the development, conception and implementation of new projects.
- Development and conception of new (funded) educational projects
- Creation of texts and materials for the educational programs
- Conducting workshops (online and face-to-face): Moderation and communication of information
- Follow-up: evaluation and further development of workshop formats
- Recruitment, contact and development of collaboration with cooperation partners, external representation of the projects (specialist conferences, etc.)
- optional further activities such as research, public relations etc.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
What you should bring with you:
- Enthusiasm (and basic understanding) for politics and our liberal, democratic system
- An interest in the prevention of hate and violence against local politicians
- Team spirit, communication skills and enjoy working with people
- Experience with digital applications such as Zoom, Google Drive etc.
- Basic technical equipment, as the work takes place almost exclusively remotely Camera and microphone
- German language skills level B2 or higher

Important notice
We work together remotely throughout Germany, and we currently meet twice a year in the Hamburg area.

Our association offers concrete support for people in local politics against hate and violence, for example through targeted initial information or sensitization workshops. With the support of politicians in the local environment, we work for the preservation and strengthening of our democratic system.
