KIEZconnect is setting up a long-term social media strategy - on the topic of local democracy.

Local democracy is the democracy where we all have the most say. But often fundamental elements are missing to create this local democracy. This requires education and interesting input on the topic in order to understand what our immediate living environment has to do with democracy. And why, in order to save democracy, we need to extend it into the neighborhoods instead of just defending the existing democracy.

We are currently developing the social media strategy for our small association in a professional social media program. Here you can learn a high-quality skillset for social media if you don't already have this prior knowledge. And immediately afterwards, we start creating content, videos and an editorial plan for when to post what. Artificial intelligence is of course a relevant factor here. The goal is to start with Instagram and expand to TikTok in the future.

Motivation and interest in social media and local democracy and communities

More time is needed at the beginning to set up the strategy.
In other words, about 5-10 hours a week for the first 8 weeks.
After that, it can be significantly reduced as soon as a posting plan has been created. Then it can be reduced to about 2-4 hours a week.

We are a small volunteer team, and we work as quickly and slowly as we can. We have high standards and don't let ourselves get stressed. Because we want to have fun while working. :)
