Your Tasks
Activity: You will work in the evening or in the morning. We are particularly looking for support for the breakfast shifts. The tasks are varied. For example: you welcome our guests and make contact with them. You will help with baggage acceptance, food distribution and preparation and in the scullery.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
Prerequisite: You must be of legal age. You must speak sufficient German for this voluntary position. If you have any pre-existing health conditions, we recommend that you consult your doctor and the head of the facility to protect yourself; unfortunately, it is not possible to volunteer if you are pregnant. Before your first assignment, you will attend an introductory seminar with all the important information and procedures. You will then receive support during your first shifts and will be trained.
What we are looking for: You are open to the life situations of homeless people. You keep an overview and enjoy working in a team. You are reliable and enjoy taking on responsibility. The most important thing: You have an open ear for our guests and treat them in an approachable, tolerant, fair and de-escalating manner. You treat every guest with friendliness, appreciation and at eye level.
