Volunteer / time donor at the outpatient hospice service

As a volunteer hospice caregiver, you will receive free, qualified training and continuing support from our full-time coordinators. As a volunteer companion, you will be intensively prepared for your work in a preparatory course. The course takes place on 6 weekends (Fridays from 5 p.m. and Saturdays) plus 9 theme evenings, each starting at 5 p.m. The next Preparation course starts in April 2026.

Support for the living and dying - living to the last: Would you like to give your time and volunteer? You accompany seriously ill and dying people in the last phase of their lives. An outpatient hospice service is NOT a care service, but offers psychosocial support: We are open for conversations, give time and attention. We stand by people during the difficult time of saying goodbye and listen to their fears and worries as well as their hopes and wishes.
You visit people at home, in care facilities or in hospital, thereby relieving the burden on their relatives. You offer company on walks, visits to the doctor or perhaps specific help with visits to the authorities.

If you are interested, we would be happy to invite you to a personal meeting where you can clarify all your questions and expectations with us. Before the meeting, we will ask you to complete a questionnaire, which we will send to you in advance.
