Your Tasks
- As a volunteer in one of our 2 stores in Cologne (Neu & Südstadt), you will work with your team colleagues to keep the store running.
- Your tasks include accepting, sorting, pricing and presenting donations in kind such as clothing, books, games, household goods and useful items for the home. You will advise customers, operate the till and take care of the store's appearance.
- Your organizational skills are in demand, whether in everyday store life or during special promotions.
- You will use your communication skills to pass on the values and vision of our establishment. You will communicate with customers and donors in German.
- You have the time and desire to get involved, ideally on a long-term basis.
- In the first 4 trial shifts, you will be familiarized with the various tasks and have the opportunity to decide whether you would like to work with us.

The Office for Civic Commitment of the AWO Cologne is a consulting service. People who are willing to volunteer will receive advice and will be placed in organisations that work with volunteers. Further priority will be given to LESEMENTOR Cologne, young volunteers, further education and voluntary refugee work.
