About the volunteering opportunity
We are looking for volunteers who would like to work with our social worker to help our children with their homework. This involves working together on homework from the various school subjects. You will help newly arrived children and young people to improve their chances of integration linguistically, academically and socially and to feel at home with us.
Your Tasks
Homework help and revision of various school subjects for our children and young people aged 7-13.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
You should bring:
- Interest and fun in working with children and young people (7-13 years)
- Openness towards other cultures
- Patience and empathy
- Reliability
- Note: An extended certificate of good conduct is mandatory. We will help you with the application.

- Our social care worker needs regular support and would be happy if you could help him on an hourly basis.

Since 25.06.2016, Albatros gGmbH has been operating the community accommodation for refugees. The GU Gehrenseestr. with a capacity for 200 people almost exclusively accommodates families from Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan.
