About the volunteering opportunity
For our initial reception center for refugees in eastern Munich, we are looking for Ukrainian-speaking volunteers who would like to support individual residents in their daily lives.
Even just a few hours a month can make a big difference. Possible tasks include:
- going for walks together or participating in leisure activities
- Helping them learn German
- Helping with writing emails or job applications
- Helping them find their way around Munich and navigate everyday life in Germany
- Spending time with them, listening, and offering encouragement
You don’t need any special prior knowledge—openness, reliability, and a love of working with people are what matter most.
