Homework help for children/young people in our shared accommodation

We are looking for volunteers who can help us regularly with homework help, especially in German and Maths. You will be supported by our staff team.

Your Tasks

• Homework assistance
• Overview of the school materials
• Supporting the children in their work with the homework book
• Leisure activities through handicrafts, games, computers
• Promotion of social competence through rules such as consideration, tolerance etc.
• Cleaning up together

What's needed

• People who have experience and / or interest in teaching school content and enjoy working with children and young people;
• Open-mindedness and tolerance with people from other cultures;
• People who would like to engage in the medium to long term.

Note: An extended certificate of good conduct is mandatory. We will help you with the application. 

Time required

Even one hour a week would help a lot of kids a lot!! 

Our homework help is Monday, Wednesday and Friday, usually between 3 and 5 pm.

Since 25.06.2016, Albatros gGmbH has been operating the community accommodation for refugees. The GU Gehrenseestr. with a capacity for 200 people almost exclusively accommodates families from Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan.
