About the volunteering opportunity
A woman in a wheelchair from Ukraine needs active support in her everyday life. She is severely disabled and lives in accommodation for vulnerable Ukrainian refugees. The accommodation is located right next to Munich Central Station. Her English skills are good, which is why she does not necessarily need Ukrainian-speaking volunteer support.
Your Tasks
Your task will be to support the woman in her everyday life, i.e. to accompany her to the shops or to appointments.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
Experience with physically handicapped people, tolerance, patience, helpfulness, friendliness. Knowledge of Ukrainian or Russian is an advantage, but not a requirement if you have a good command of English.

"Die Innere Mission" helps people with a migration background. Whether as first aid for refugees and asylum seekers or through useful offers for migrants already living in Munich with permanent residence. The employees of our social and migration services often know the challenges from their own experience. They know where to start in order to begin a new life in a foreign country.
