Fundraising and Events for Lilipad Libraries

Hi, we’re Lilipad! We work to build libraries for children who are subject to social exclusion. We have libraries in many countries, as well as several in refugee housing centers across Berlin. We’re currently looking for a volunteer to support in the fundraising and events team. We aim to host regular fundraising events with a variety of fun activities to bring people into our community.

It is expected that the core volunteers at Lilipad attend the meetings once a month. This position would involve planning, publicizing, and enacting fundraisers throughout the year, as well as handling donations and maintaining donor contacts. You won’t be doing all this alone of course - we have a small team already working in this capacity who look forward to welcoming a new addition.

Any prior experience in event planning, fundraising, and community outreach is welcome, but not required.

Besides the once monthly meetings, the time commitment varies greatly depending on ongoing projects and volunteer availability. In the event team, there is an expectation to attend some of the events you are organizing, which are most commonly hosted on weekends or evenings.
