Volunteer IT support for the Edunovo e.V. School Connect platform!
Edunovo e.V. is a non-profit initiative that promotes free, practical economic education and equal opportunities. We connect young people with relevant actors from business, politics and society in order to actively involve them in political processes and make social and economic issues accessible.
With the School Connect project, Edunovo e.V. is committed to strengthening free future skills in schools in a practical and sustainable way. Our aim is to make students understand economic relationships at an early stage and prepare them for their professional future. With School-Connect, we bring our educational work directly into the classroom by connecting schools with experts from society, business and politics. This gives pupils authentic insights into the world of work, helps them discover new perspectives and develop future skills - all at no cost to your school.
We are now looking for a person with solid experience in computer science, UX design or similar to support the maintenance and expansion of our new digital platform.

Your Tasks
As part of the School Connect team, you will be involved in the following tasks
- Further development and maintenance of our innovative digital platform (front- and backend)
- Support in the optimization of our speaker database
- Implementation of technical features
- Fixing bugs
- Improvement of user experiences through UX
- Exchange with our team to further develop the platform

What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
- β Advanced studies, training or other sound evidence of existing skills in computer science (system and network administration, web and media informatics, data analysis, software development or similar)
- β Organizational skills and ability to work independently - you can coordinate and meet deadlines
- β Commitment & ability to work in a team - you can communicate well with others and take responsibility for tasks.
- β (Optional) Experience in project management - Previous experience is a plus, but not essential. Much more important is your motivation!
Time required
Project-based
The work in the School Connect team is flexible and can be easily combined with studies, training or other commitments. The time commitment is approx. 2-3 hours per week. The tasks can be carried out remotely, with occasional coordination within the team.

- π Flexible working: TheΒ tasks can be completed regardless of location as long as agreements are adhered to.
- π Commitment with impact: Your work will help to promote and strengthen equal opportunities in the economy.
- π Prior knowledge required: Experience in an IT field is necessary, however, you do not necessarily need to have completed your studies or training, ongoing training is already sufficient
- π Target group: This commitment is aimed at young people between 15 and 25 years who want to actively support education, the advancement of women and economic education.
- π Opportunity to help shape the project: You have the chance to contribute your own ideas and suggestions for improving our platform and actively participate in the further development of the project.
