About the volunteering opportunity
We develop journalistic content specifically for children and young people - understandable, creative and age-appropriate. Our aim is to get young people interested in news, media literacy and social issues and to give them guidance in their everyday lives.
Your Tasks
In this project, volunteers support our children's and youth editorial team in preparing journalistic content in an easily understandable way and getting young people interested in news, media literacy and social issues. The tasks are varied: you write child-friendly explanatory texts on current or fundamental issues ("What is the EU?", "Why do people vote?") and research topics in such a way that they remain comprehensible and exciting for children and young people. You will work on short video or audio formats, develop simple graphics or visuals for the web and social media and contribute creative ideas on how we can translate complex topics into digital educational formats. You will also help to gather and implement feedback from the target group and, if you wish, you can accompany or help to design small workshops.
To do this, you should enjoy writing or explaining, be able to use clear and simple language and have a good feel for the world in which children and young people live. Above all, reliability, the ability to work in a team and curiosity are important. No previous specialist knowledge is required - what matters is your interest in working with us to develop content that reaches, empowers and informs young people.

cozmo infinity n.e.V. is a modern, non-profit media, educational and cultural organization that unites independent journalism, media expertise, creative projects and social dialogue under one roof. We combine editorial work, media production, education, innovation and culture in a way that is rare in Germany. Our aim is to provide comprehensible and reliable information, impart media knowledge to young people, promote creative talent and develop projects that are socially relevant.
The association comprises several divisions - including cozmo news (journalism & editing) with Nürnberger Blatt, Stuttgarter Blatt, Münchener Blatt, Fränkisches Blatt and Hamburger Blatt, cozmo production (video, photo & media projects), cozmo academy (educational formats & workshops), cozmo records (music & creative promotion), cozmo connect (networking & dialog) and cozmo lab (innovation & future formats). We work independently, non-partisan and for the common good.
Volunteers play a central role with us: they can write, research, produce, design, accompany workshops, contribute their own ideas and work directly on projects that have a real impact. We offer a motivated, appreciative environment, flexible collaboration, certificates and insights into professional journalism, modern media production and creative work processes.
