About the volunteering opportunity
The project produces independent, comprehensible and non-profit journalism: we research current topics, produce news, background information and reports and make relevant developments accessible to the public. Volunteer editors contribute to the creation of well-founded information and comprehensible content.
Your Tasks
In this project, you will become part of our editorial team and support us in producing independent, comprehensible and non-profit journalism. You will monitor current developments, research topics and help to prepare relevant content for the public. Whether news, background pieces, explanatory formats or short reports - you can contribute in all areas and bring in your own ideas. Your tasks will include writing and editing texts, checking facts, taking part in editorial meetings and collecting and structuring information. If you wish, you can also participate in audio or video formats, create short social media texts or help develop new journalistic formats.
You should have an interest in current affairs, society, politics or culture and enjoy communicating information clearly and comprehensibly. Curiosity, reliability and a willingness to work in a team are important. Previous experience in journalism is not necessary - you will be introduced to all processes step by step and can contribute according to your strengths. Your cooperation will help to enable well-founded reporting, provide orientation and make topics visible that would otherwise be neglected. In this way, you actively help to strengthen independent journalism that remains accessible to all.

cozmo infinity n.e.V.
cozmo infinity n.e.V. is a modern, non-profit media, educational and cultural organization that unites independent journalism, media expertise, creative projects and social dialogue under one roof. We combine editorial work, media production, education, innovation and culture in a way that is rare in Germany. Our aim is to provide comprehensible and reliable information, impart media knowledge to young people, promote creative talent and develop projects that are socially relevant.
The association comprises several divisions - including cozmo news (journalism & editing) with Nürnberger Blatt, Stuttgarter Blatt, Münchener Blatt, Fränkisches Blatt and Hamburger Blatt, cozmo production (video, photo & media projects), cozmo academy (educational formats & workshops), cozmo records (music & creative promotion), cozmo connect (networking & dialog) and cozmo lab (innovation & future formats). We work independently, non-partisan and for the common good.
Volunteers play a central role with us: they can write, research, produce, design, accompany workshops, contribute their own ideas and work directly on projects that have a real impact. We offer a motivated, appreciative environment, flexible collaboration, certificates and insights into professional journalism, modern media production and creative work processes.
Anyone who joins cozmo infinity n.e.V. is actively shaping a new form of media work - transparent, constructive, future-oriented and open to all those who want to make a difference with attitude and commitment.
