About the volunteering opportunity
The FALK Club is a lively leisure facility for people with and without support needs. Our users have different impairments and individual assistance needs in everyday life.
We would like to expand our offer and establish a second breakfast offer during the week (Thursdays) - in a cozy, appreciative atmosphere.
Your tasks
We are looking for 1-2 volunteers who would like to actively help shape our breakfast program.
Your Tasks
From 9 a.m.: Preparation
- Set the tables
- Bake bread rolls
- Prepare toppings and vegetable platters
- Make coffee and tea
From 10 a.m.: Accompanying the breakfast
- Serving coffee or tea
- Assistance with sandwiches if required (e.g. for people with physical disabilities)
Afterwards
- Clean up and tidy up together
- Conversations on everyday topics
- Accompany play sessions
- In good weather: accompany walks in the neighborhood
there is always a permanent member of staff on site for each activity.
Other possible assignments
You are also welcome to support the Tuesday breakfast group

What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, basic German skills are required.
What you bring with you
- An open, friendly and respectful manner
- Enjoy communicating and meeting people
- Willingness to help, reliability and interest in working regularly
- Experience in dealing with people with support needs is welcome, but not a prerequisite
- Knowledge of German (knowledge of simple/easy language is helpful, but also not a requirement)

The MARIE Engagement Office is the contact point for volunteering at AWO Berlin Kreisverband Südost e.V.
We advise interested parties on the opportunities and framework conditions for volunteering in the district association's facilities and projects.
We place interested volunteers in a suitable placement.
We offer volunteers:
Contact persons,
Insurance cover (accident and liability),
Proof of volunteer work,
Further training, exchange of experience, etc.
Our facilities are located in the Berlin districts of Neukölln, Lichtenberg, Reinickendorf and Treptow-Köpenick.
Daycare centers, after-school care centers, family centers, 1:1 support as part of a sponsorship... The opportunities for volunteering with us are many and varied!
