About the volunteering opportunity
As the German Rheumatism League Berlin e.V., we are committed to helping people with rheumatic diseases. Rheumatism can actually affect anyone: senior citizens as well as children and (young) adults are affected and suffer from severe joint pain and restricted mobility. As a self-help organization, we offer our support with our wide range of exercise and advice services.
We are looking for dedicated volunteer office assistants for our office who can support us in our day-to-day administrative and organizational work and help to ensure that our work for people with rheumatic diseases runs smoothly.

Your Tasks
After a structured onboarding period, you will assist us with the following tasks, among others:
- Processing emails in the event inbox andsending registration confirmations
- Calling guests who are having trouble registering
- Entering registrations into our event portal
- Distributing and mailing event flyers and posters at our office, at our nearby health center, and at our meeting locations in Charlottenburg, Steglitz, Lichtenberg, and Mitte
If you enjoy design and have a creative eye, you can also help create and customize flyers and posters using our existing templates.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
- Enjoyment of structured, meticulous work
- Reliability and a friendly demeanor
- Computer and email skills
Time required
Regularly
Approx. 4 hours per week.
On weekdays, during the day
We would appreciate your help 1–2 times a week for about 2 hours each time.
Important notice
We offer structured induction and guidance from specialists, a lively exchange of experiences with other volunteers, reimbursement of costs incurred and training and qualification opportunities. In addition, you are covered by our liability and accident insurance and can take part in free excursions and events. An expense allowance is paid.

"Rheumatism" is a serious form of disease in many facets. In Germany, almost 17 million people suffer from a rheumatic disease.
Everyone can be affected: from children, to teenagers to younger or older adults.
As a registered association "German Rheumatism League Berlin", we offer those affected help to help themselves. At the center of our work are the four actions: movement, advice, meeting and accompaniment. We support, advise and accompany those affected with a variety of offers as close to home as possible in all districts of Berlin
