About the volunteering opportunity
Together with a person from our social team, the interested volunteers will explore the city with young people from a refugee shelter (approx. 15-18 years old) and go on excursions together.
Your Tasks
The volunteers plan and accompany regular excursions together with a member of the social team.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity you don't need any German skills.
An open and approachable manner, self-confident communication, as well as fun when dealing with young people and empathy are helpful. In addition, knowledge of foreign languages (Russian, Ukrainian, English, Turkish) is an advantage, but not essential.

The excursions are expected to take place once a week on Monday afternoons.

The Tempelhof Airport accommodation was put into operation on December 23, 2022 and is operated jointly by AWO Berlin-Mitte and the Internationaler Bund Berlin-Brandenburg. The accommodation is located in hangars 1, 2 and 3 of the former Tempelhof Airport and in parking lot 3. It offers space for a maximum of 1600 people.
