About the volunteering opportunity
On selected weekends, we organize workshops to make donated bicycles roadworthy again together with young people. The project offers the opportunity to teach technical skills and make a positive contribution to the community at the same time.
Your Tasks
Your tasks:
- Inspire young people to repair bicycles and teach them the basics of maintenance and repair.
- Provide the participants with technical support in selecting the right tools and spare parts.
- Ensure a safe and respectful working environment.
- Take care of the preparation and follow-up of the repair days.
- Support the public relations work surrounding the project.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
Requirements:
- You have basic knowledge of bicycle repair and experience in handling tools.
- Patience and skill in dealing with young people are your strengths.
- Reliability is a matter of course for you.
- You love to share your knowledge and inspire others.
Time required
Once
On weekends, during the day
The commitment takes place on 1-2 weekends, probably in April. The exact times can be arranged individually.
