About the volunteering opportunity
A volunteering opportunity by Diakonie-Hospiz Lichtenberg gGmbH
Birdsong, children's laughter, a flock of sheep: the villa of the DiakonieHospiz Lichtenberg is located in the middle of Berlin's Herzberge Landscape Park: opened in 2005, the inpatient hospice offers a place to live for seriously ill, dying people. Supported and accompanied by full-time and voluntary staff, the guests of the hospice and their relatives can spend this precious time together according to their ideas and wishes. Our outpatient hospice work also visits seriously ill people at home in their familiar surroundings or in a nursing home.
The hospice work of the Diakonie-Hospice Lichtenberg aims to help ensure that people are not left to die alone. We base our work on Christian values, but our services are available to all seriously ill and dying people, regardless of their religious or ideological beliefs. We want to support people in living their last years with dignity and self-determination.
