About the volunteering opportunity
Local political activists are increasingly exposed to hostility. Our association is committed to protecting them and strengthening democratic culture. To do this, we need a modern, lively website - and your support as a content manager!
Your Tasks
Our website is aimed at those active in local politics, the specialist public, supporters and interested parties. It is therefore a central communication tool for our association. Our website, created in Wordpress, was recently modernized from the ground up, but should continue to evolve in terms of content and technology. We are therefore looking for 1-2 experienced volunteers who would like to strengthen our WordPress working group (WG),
- work closely with our public relations working group to develop concepts for adapting the website to new, important trends,
- Develop and implement suggestions and new ideas within the team to improve the visibility and usability of our services, and
- coordinate the work of the WordPress working group.
What's needed
Volunteers must be native German speakers.
What you should bring with you
- Experience in the field of website design and with a CMS tool for implementation (WordPress would be ideal, but not essential)
- An independent and structured way of working with initiative to further develop the website
- German language skills at native speaker level
- Enthusiasm (and basic understanding) for politics and our free, democratic system
- Interest in the topic of "Prevention of hate and violence against local political activists"
- Experience with digital applications such as Zoom, Google Drive etc.
- Basic technical equipment: laptop/computer, camera and microphone
- Team spirit, communication skills and enjoyment in dealing with people

Our association offers concrete support for people in local politics against hate and violence, for example through targeted initial information or sensitization workshops. With the support of politicians in the local environment, we work for the preservation and strengthening of our democratic system.
