Who we are
Who we are
The Förderverein für Knochenmarktransplantation in Hamburg e.V. supports bone marrow transplantation and the associated research and patient projects in Hamburg. We also fund a music therapy unit on the ward and organize specialist congresses for patients and their relatives. Our aim is to promote medical innovation and provide patients with the best possible support and guidance during a challenging phase of their lives.
Your Tasks
Your tasks
- Researching suitable funding programs, foundations and public funding
- Preparation and submission of funding applications
- Establishing and maintaining contacts with supporters and sponsors
- Developing new ideas for fundraising
- Close coordination with the Executive Board on projects and funding requirements
What's needed
Volunteers must be native German speakers.
What you should bring with you
- Interest in fundraising, funding management or non-profit work
- Structured and independent way of working
- Enjoy writing and communicating with external partners
- Ideally some experience with funding applications or sponsoring (not a must!)

This project is location independent.
Förderverein für Knochenmarktransplantation in Hamburg e.V.
On request, we support patients and relatives during the acute phase of a stem cell transplant who are undergoing a transplant at the University Medical Center Hamburg Eppendorf (UKE). Support is provided in person or by telephone. We also offer financial support if required and on application, currently finance the music therapy unit on the ward and organize a specialist congress for patients and relatives every two years.
