About the volunteering opportunity
With the SPREUWEIZEN educational initiative, we bring media, journalism and politics to school classes, seminar rooms and podiums in a practical and playful way. In workshops, games, talks and training sessions, we look at how editorial teams work, how news is created and what role AI and social media play in this.
Your Tasks
Bring good news into the classroom!
The SPREUWEIZEN educational initiative stands for news literacy. We impart knowledge practically, playfully and at eye level. Because in times of disinformation, it is more important than ever to separate the SPREU from the WEIZEN. To this end, we are looking for multipliers, or multis for short, to hold our workshops in Thuringian school classes.
We:

Because in times of disinformation, it is more important than ever to separate the SPREU from the WEIZEN. To this end, we are looking for multipliers, or multis for short, to hold our workshops in Thuringian school classes.
We:
- organize a free multi-day training course for you with didactic and pedagogical basics (including meals & overnight stay)
- pay a financial allowance per workshop held (80 to 120 euros) + reimbursement of travel expenses
- offer free further training
- advise and support you during your volunteer work at SPREUWEIZEN
You:
- have the desire & capacity to volunteer in the field of news literacy
- are willing to give at least 3 workshops per year for SPREUWEIZEN
The next training course will take place
from April 16 to 19, 2026
in the youth education center Hütten (Herschdorfer Straße 19, 07387 Krölpa)
