About the volunteering opportunity
As a participatory project, the Carnival of Cultures coordinates a colorful & loud street parade with many artists, actors and groups on Pentecost Sunday (24.05.2026) in the middle of Berlin-Friedrichshain. This year again at Frankfurter Allee/Karl Marx Allee! You can actively support us as a Safety Hero directly on the parade route .
Your Tasks
Help us to protect the green central reservation along the parade route!
✨During the carnival parade, make sure that the central reservation remains protected.
✨You will act as part of a team and will be trained in detail in an offline briefing on May 18.
✨Make visitors aware of nature conservation in a friendly manner with the help of signs

🐞 Why is this important? 🐞
The central reservation is not just a green strip - it is a valuable habitat for numerous insect species. Between 2017 and 2020, the Stadtgrün project of the Natural History Museum and Humboldt University studied these unusual urban ecosystems and discovered an impressive diversity of species!
