About the volunteering opportunity
The Lipoedema Society is growing - and with it our vision.
We are passionately committed to helping people with lipoedema, empowering those affected and sensitizing
Society for this often misunderstood disease. We are a diverse, competent and interdisciplinary
interdisciplinary team of sufferers, doctors, lawyers, practitioners,
Self-help group leaders - and many committed people who want to make a difference.
We are currently on the cusp of becoming even more professional:
- We are in the process of finding a full-time management team.
- We are expanding the office.
- Numerous project funding applications have been submitted - four have already been approved!
- Our visibility is growing.
- Our symposium and our science prize should attract even more attention

- Active press work (press releases, media contacts, topic placement)
- Public relations & strategic communication

- Increase awareness of the Lipoedema Society
- Educate and raise awareness about lipoedema and empower those affected
- Actively promote our symposium & the science prize
- Make our interdisciplinary work even more visible

Scope of time about 3-5 hours per week in flexible time management. Remote work possible.

The Lipoedema Society is an interdisciplinary association with 1,600 members and around 24,000 followers on social media. It brings together sufferers, doctors and around 200 self-help groups to represent the interests of everyone involved.
