About the volunteering opportunity
We are looking for a volunteer to support a refugee with language acquisition. The aim is to provide the young man with individual support and encouragement.
Your Tasks
- Practise reading and writing
- Repeat and explain grammar
- Prepare for school tests
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
- Minimum age 18 years
- Patience and empathy
- Reliability
- Enjoy teaching
- Extended certificate of good conduct
Time required
Regularly
Approx. 1 hour per week.
On weekdays, during the day, at night
Ideally 1-2 hours per week by arrangement

AWO Jugendwohnen Ost
We offer partially supervised living for young adults who can no longer live with their family of origin, e.g. due to family situations or various individual reasons. Within this form of assisted living, the young people receive help in dealing with personal and professional issues, are prepared for an independent life and receive help in finding accommodation.
