Would you like to accompany children on their journey?
Start volunteering at the DRK Frankfurt! The German Red Cross runs shelters for refugees and migrants in Frankfurt. The full-time teams are supported by numerous volunteers, without whom the work of the DRK would be unthinkable. The commitment as a child sponsor makes an important contribution to the individual development, participation and equal opportunities of children.
Possible locations: Sachsenhausen, Oberrad, Ginnheim, Riedberg or Frankfurter Berg

Your Tasks
This is what volunteering can look like:
For example, meet with a child once a week for 1-2 hours to support them through regular leisure activities, companionship and positive attention.

- Regular leisure activities together (e.g. sports, music, painting, excursions)
- Conversations, listening and support in dealing with challenges
- A regular and reliable relationship over a period of at least 6 months
- Space for child-friendly, respectful interaction
- Help with school organization if required
Requirements:
- Enjoyment and openness in dealing with children
- Very good knowledge of German
- Submission of an extended certificate of good conduct
- Minimum age 18 years
