About the volunteering opportunity
The LeNa project stands for “Vibrant Neighborhood” and aims to bring people in the neighborhood together. The goal is to provide companionship and spend free time together as equals.
As part of the visiting service, volunteers visit an older person living alone at home once a week.

Your Tasks
Shared leisure activities, e.g.:
- Storytelling
- Playing
- Reading aloud
- Going for walks
- Help with using computers and smartphones
- Shopping Together
- Exploring the neighborhood
- Field trips
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.

- The tandems are scheduled for:
- 1 session per week
- approx. 1–3 hours
- 1 volunteer meeting with the coordinator per month

The Evangelisches Johannesstift Foundation supports educational, social, and health projects within the Johannesstift Diakonie and trains deacons. The Foundation promotes volunteerism and thereby fulfills its social responsibility. Over 1,000 volunteers are active in our facilities and projects. The Volunteer Services Department and sixty coordinators provide professional and reliable on-site support to volunteers during their assignments. Together, we put the foundation’s mission into action.
