About the volunteering opportunity
VoT Germany is the first organization in Germany that was founded exclusively by victims of terrorist violence. We are committed to visibility, political representation and support for those affected - in Germany and for those affected from Germany at home and abroad.
For the development of our social media communication, we are looking for volunteer support in the area of content & social media. The aim is to present sensitive topics in a respectful yet appealing way and to make our work more visible.
We are looking for a person with experience or a good understanding of Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn as well as a flair for visual content and social media formats. Content should be implemented independently after a brief consultation - for example based on photos, key points or current appointments.
We are specifically looking for a person from Berlin or the surrounding area. Coordination takes place partly on site, implementation is flexible.
Time required: approx. 2-4 hours per week.
Long-term cooperation desired.
Your Tasks
- Creation and preparation of Instagram posts and reels
- Implementation of content ideas after coordination
- Co-development of a social media concept
- Structured storage of image and video material
- Support in the development of podcast formats
- Occasional coordination on site in Berlin
What's needed
Volunteers must be native German speakers.
- Experience with Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn
- confident handling of Canva, Reels or comparable tools (e.g. CapCut)
- A flair for visual content and social media formats
- Ability to implement content independently after brief coordination
- structured and reliable way of working
- sensitive handling of socially relevant topics
- Place of residence in Berlin or the surrounding area
