Volunteers needed for a women's café in a refugee shelter.

we would like to organize a weekly meeting for the women from our refugee shelter, where they can get to know each other better, exchange ideas over a cup of tea or coffee and simply spend a cozy moment together. The project is new and still in development, so we are open to your ideas and suggestions on how we can organize the meeting. Language skills are very welcome, but not necessary - especially in Farsi, Arabic, Russian or Turkish to facilitate the exchange. We look forward to your support in providing a place for women to meet and feel comfortable.

the volunteers will help organize and run the weekly meetings. Tasks include welcoming new participants, making tea and coffee and creating a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere so that everyone feels comfortable.
During the meetings it is important to chat with the participants, encourage sharing and actively listen. You should be open and social to help the women integrate and share their thoughts and concerns. It will also be your job to pay attention to the needs of the participants and find out if there are any specific issues they need support with.

the women's café will take place weekly, preferably on a day of the week that can be flexibly coordinated with the participants. The exact time and duration of the meetings will also be determined together. Volunteers are expected to attend the meetings regularly, ideally for a longer period of time, to ensure continuous support and a familiar atmosphere. In the future, we also plan to organize special workshops or events after the meetings, such as yoga or empowerment sessions.

It is important to create a respectful and trusting atmosphere where all participants feel safe and welcome. 

 Your role is not only to support the women, but also to actively participate in conversations and promote a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. 

 In the future, there may also be workshops or initiatives from external guests or individual projects where your help and support may be needed.
