About the volunteering opportunity
We are looking for hard-working hands to help us protect nature on a voluntary basis. In particular, we look after the Dellbrücker Heide, Flittarder Rhein Aue, Sürther Aue and other conservation areas.
Your Tasks
The activities are for example the takeover of:
- Tree pruning
- Care of nest boxes
- Construction of amphibian protection fences
- Creating documentation
- supporting media coverage of environmental protection activities

What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, basic German skills are required.

The Office for Civic Commitment of the AWO Cologne is a consulting service. People who are willing to volunteer will receive advice and will be placed in organisations that work with volunteers. Further priority will be given to LESEMENTOR Cologne, young volunteers, further education and voluntary refugee work.
