About the volunteering opportunity
The area of responsibility includes media-related research and support in managing the social media channels of the Unionhilfswerk geriatric hospice work: Facebook, Instagram & LinkedIn. Help to make the work of the hospice for the elderly and its commitment to the quality of life of very old people visible: Being able to live and being allowed to die.
You create new content independently, contribute your ideas and help to increase the reach of these social media channels.

Your Tasks
- Co-development of a social media strategy in coordination with the public relations department of ZAH Zentrale Anlaufstelle Hospiz | Startseite
- Channel and target group-specific conception and implementation of social media posts (design, text, images, stories and videos).
- Scheduling and publishing posts.
- Community management (interaction with followers), contacting and building relationships with influencers.
- Analytics and reporting.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
- First and foremost, you should enjoy writing your own texts and be able to design them with suitable images, as well as develop ideas in coordination and cooperation with our public relations department.
- You should also enjoy researching and have a good feel for target group-oriented topics.
- You are interested in social issues and do not shy away from the topics of dying, death and grief.
- Sociability is also a big issue for us, as the role of interviewer often requires a wide-ranging interest in the interviewees.
- You are curious, open-minded and keen to support us,
- You are excited to contribute your own ideas and impulses and to let off steam creatively in a field.
- You know the trends in social media and can use the Facebook, Instagram & LinkedIn channels.
