About the volunteering opportunity
Anyone can learn first aid - and it can save lives in an emergency. At the DRK-Kv Mannheim, we are looking for people who enjoy passing on practical knowledge, leading groups and encouraging others to actively help in an emergency.
Previous medical knowledge is not essential. The decisive factors are strong communication skills, a sense of responsibility, a very good command of German and a confident, approachable and professional manner.
People who already have experience in explaining, guiding or accompanying groups are particularly welcome - for example trainers, coaches, exercise instructors, midwives, pediatric nurses, nursing staff, educators, DRK volunteers or people from social, health or educational fields. Committed career changers are also very welcome.
As a first aid instructor, you will lead courses for different target groups: for example, for driving license applicants, company first aiders, educational staff, trainers, senior citizens, children's and youth groups, clubs or interested private individuals.
We pay for the training to become a first aid instructor. We also cover the costs of the training. You will also receive regular further training and professional support.
