About the volunteering opportunity
On July 3, we are once again celebrating the summer festival of diversity on the meadow behind the Bürgertreff. With music, barbecue sausages, clothes swap and games, we want to enjoy the sun and life with our neighbors. Everyone is welcome at our festival. We organize it inclusively and barrier-free.
The Summer Festival of Diversity is a great opportunity to get in touch with old and new neighbors.
We organize live music, there are (vegan and meaty) sausages from the grill, cold drinks and a big clothes swap. We have also planned something for the kids: They can let off steam on a bouncy castle or transform themselves into animals and mythical creatures with face painting.

Your Tasks
We need support with these tasks for the construction and dismantling of the festival:
- Loading and unloading of stage parts
- Transportation of tables, benches, materials for the festival
You can support us on July 3 during these times:
- Help with set-up: approx. 2 to 4 p.m
- Help with dismantling: approx. 18:30 to 21 o'clock
We would be most happy if you could also celebrate with us. In exchange for your energy, you will receive sausages (also vegan), karma points and a small honorary allowance.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, basic German skills are required.
If you want to support us, you should be able and willing to carry different things from A to B. Some things weigh more, some less. But you should be physically fit enough to carry things.

Bürgertreff "Gemeinsam im Kiez leben"
The citizens' meeting place "Gemeinsam im Kiez leben" is an institution of the Cooperative Mensch eG and an inclusive meeting place in Alt-Hohenschönhausen. Since October 2018, the citizens' meeting place has been sponsored by the district of Lichtenberg. As a social meeting place, it is dedicated to the elimination of barriers and the local implementation of the UN Disability Rights Convention. We want to promote inclusion in the neighbourhood. We have various open and inclusive offers in the Bürgertreff and in the Kiez. We have a large network in Lichtenberg and various cooperation partners, such as an inclusive boccia club. We also arrange cultural sponsorships between people with disabilities and/or low income and people interested in culture.
