About the volunteering opportunity
We are Inspiring Girls Deutschland e. V. - we inspire girls.
We make the diversity of professional careers and life paths tangible for girls and thus broaden their perspectives.
To this end, we bring schoolgirls aged 10 - 16 together with women from many different professions, especially from the STEM sector, as part of speed networking sessions at schools, thereby opening up new worlds for them.
We overcome social stereotypes and create equality in career guidance. We show girls that all professions are open to them and encourage them to believe in themselves and set high goals.
Your Tasks
As an Inspiring Girls role model, you give a brief overview of your career and profession in person at schools. You meet small groups of girls in speed networking sessions and tell them what your everyday working life is like.
What do you particularly like about your job? How did you get into this profession? What advice would you give to girls who don't yet know exactly what they want to be when they grow up? .... Maybe you can also bring something typical from your job and show it.

Your volunteer work usually lasts 3 hours in the morning at a school. We will ask you about 6 weeks in advance if you have time. You choose whether it works out and whether you would like to be there several times a year.
We are mainly looking for women from STEM fields and skilled trades.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.

Your volunteer work usually lasts 3 hours in the morning at a school. We ask you about 6 weeks in advance whether you have time. You choose whether it works out and whether you would like to be there several times a year.
