About the volunteering opportunity
Kinderwohnen im Kiez (KiWoKi) is a child and youth welfare facility founded in 2016 in Mitte. KiWoKi is an intensive educational residential group for children and young people aged 10 and over. It offers educational support in accordance with §34 SGB VIII and crisis accommodation in accordance with §42 SGB VIII.
Our aim is to provide young people with a temporary home. We want to enable young people to develop in line with their age and prepare them well for a successful life.

Your Tasks
You support the children and young people with their homework and provide tutoring in subjects such as German, mathematics and sometimes English, also in preparation for exams. In this way, you help to improve German language skills, speed up the integration process and balance out social inequalities.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
You must be at least 18 years old for this volunteer position. You can communicate well in German. Knowledge of English is an advantage, but not a must. As this is a voluntary position with children and young people, an extended certificate of good conduct is required. There are no costs for this

Time required
When: Dates by arrangement
Time required: 1-2 times a week, approx. 1-2 hours. We would like a regular commitment.
