About the volunteering opportunity
The Quittenweg refugee shelter is an initial reception facility for refugees from many different countries. Mostly families with children live in our container village. We want to help the residents arrive in Germany and take their first steps into society.
Your Tasks
You will help to carry out the activities planned by the children's education team in the playroom. You will assist in organizing projects and celebrations such as Halloween, Christmas and Easter for the children in the shelter.
What's needed
This is what we are looking for: We are looking for people with empathy and a sense of humour who can help the children with patience to deal with others in an empathetic and friendly way and to foster good interaction. New ideas and suggestions are always welcome and we will do our utmost to ensure that you are able to implement them as part of your voluntary work.

You speak German at least at level A2. The minimum age for this volunteer position is 16. Because this is a volunteer position with refugees, an extended certificate of good conduct is required. There are no costs for this. Proof of measles vaccination is also required if you were born after 1970.
Time required
Time required: 90-120 min per deployment.
Frequency: 1x / week. Gladly also several assignments per week
When: Mon - Fri from 10 to 12 clock
