About the volunteering opportunity
in our daycare center, we focus on the sustainable development of children and this also includes their families. The BeerenStark daycare center in Neukölln is now looking for two dedicated volunteers for our project.
Your Tasks
- Preparation of the room: chairs, drinks, snacks
- Playing with the children
- Serving drinks
- Have conversations
- Helping parents with problems, giving advice, for example with applications to the authorities
- Cooperation with the local specialist and the district mothers
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
- Sensitivity for families affected by poverty
- Multilingualism (Turkish, Arabic, English or French)
- Knowledge of parental issues/educational issues
- good observation skills
- Experience in dealing with children and parents
Time required
Project-based
On weekdays, during the day
every two weeks on Wednesdays, 14:30-16:00
