About the volunteering opportunity

Role Overview

The Volunteer Event Host is the creative force behind For Everyone's community event programme at the No52 Pavillon at Boxhagener Platz. Sitting within the Events & Community team, this role is your chance to design, promote, and host your own creative event formats — from sofa concerts and open mic nights to film screenings, workshops, and storytelling evenings.

The goal is to create a welcoming, vibrant atmosphere where people feel connected and inspired. You will be fully responsible for the execution of your event on the day itself, including set-up, hosting, and clean-up. You won't be alone — our Event Management Lead and weekly team exchange provide ongoing support — but we are looking for someone proactive, who takes ownership and makes things happen without waiting to be told.

Your Tasks

Key Responsibilities

You will be expected to organise and lead at least one event every two weeks.

  • Develop the Event Concept: conduct a needs assessment to understand what creative events best suit the location and community

  • Plan the Event: organise the timeline, define roles, and prepare all materials for a smooth experience

  • Coordinate Promotion: work with our marketing and design team on flyers and event descriptions, and share the event through your own network

  • Host the Event On Site: lead the full execution — welcoming guests, guiding the event, and managing clean-up and wrap-up

  • Build a Support Team: invite friends or fellow volunteers to help on the day, while taking the main lead and responsibility

  • Join the Weekly Team Exchange: attend the regular meeting for all event volunteers to brainstorm, align, and support each other

Examples of Events You Could Host

  • Creative & cultural evenings — open mics, small exhibitions, film nights

  • Community conversations — on belonging, identity, mental health, urban life

  • Learning & empowerment workshops — communication, creativity, wellbeing

  • Celebrations and intercultural gatherings — shared meals, seasonal rituals

Our Ticketing Model

All For Everyone events use a solidarity-based pricing model. Participants pay a small fee to help cover costs and sustain the organisation's work. Those with fewer financial means can choose a reduced ticket; others can opt for a supporter ticket. This model strengthens both commitment and accessibility without compromising quality. As Event Manager, you will be expected to understand and actively support this approach.

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity you don't need any German skills.

  • Comfortable creating inclusive, welcoming spaces for diverse audiences

  • Supportive of the solidarity-based ticketing model

Profile

For Everyone (Wellbeing for Everyone gUG)

Welcome to For Everyone

For Everyone
is a Berlin-based non-profit that creates safe, creative, and welcoming spaces where people from all walks of life — especially internationals and newcomers — can connect and feel at home.

Through art, music, and movement, we foster real human connection, belonging, and emotional wellbeing. Our community café, No. 52 at Boxhagener Platz, hosts weekly workshops and small events for adults (mostly 18–40+). Each session blends creativity with care: it’s not about performance, but about what happens between people while they’re creating together.

Our wider vision is a diverse and resilient Berlin — a city where everyone feels at home and can take part in community life. To make that possible, we’re building the social infrastructure for belonging: connecting spaces, people, and volunteers across the city.

We believe in joy, inclusion, and authenticity — and thanks to our solidarity-based ticketing system, everyone can join, no matter their financial background.

If you care about making others feel welcome, believe in the power of creativity, and want to help people feel a little more at home in Berlin — you’re in the right place. 💛
