About the volunteering opportunity
Meaningful connections: At the SPZ, we give our time, facilitate groups, and empower people facing unique life challenges.
The day center at the Social Psychiatric Center (SPZ) of Diakonie Allgäu is an open space where people with mental illness can come together. Here, it’s all about being together—a game played as a group, a creative project, or simply an open conversation can noticeably enrich the daily lives of our guests.
Your Tasks
Ways to Get Involved:
- Spend time with the guests—play, read, do crafts, tinker, chat
- Organize your own group activities—music group, dance group, hiking group, swimming group, and much more
- Contribute your own skills and interests
- Be part of a supportive community

An open, respectful atmosphere and encounters that are enriching—for everyone involved. You’ll work closely with the full-time staff and receive guidance and support for your involvement.
