Festival Site Cleanliness

A great festival isn’t just about music, food, and a good atmosphere. To make sure all guests feel comfortable, we need people who are willing to pitch in from time to time and keep the grounds clean.

For this task, we’re looking for volunteers who will regularly walk around the grounds during the festival, pick up trash, keep an eye on collection points, and take care of small issues right away before they turn into bigger problems. This helps keep the festival grounds pleasant and usable for guests, artists, and volunteers alike.

The nonprofit BOOT e.V. is a neighborhood initiative in Hamburg’s Hamm-Süd district. We run an open community space by the water that features cultural events, a café, canoe rentals, and volunteer projects. A sense of community and the active participation of many people are central to our organization’s mission.

· Pick up trash on the festival grounds

· Check trash bags and collection points

· Take empty bottles and cans to collection points

· Keep an eye on tables and lounge areas

· Clean up small spills immediately

· Politely direct guests to trash cans

· Reliability and team spirit

· Enjoyment of getting hands-on

· Friendly demeanor

· Normal physical fitness

· Experience is not required

· Weather-resistant clothing

· Sturdy shoes

· Work gloves (recommended)

· Drinks and, if necessary, a small snack

· A positive attitude

Please arrive at the meeting point on time, if possible.

It’s not about perfect cleanliness, but about keeping the venue pleasant and safe throughout the day.

Many small actions ensure that guests, artists, and volunteers feel comfortable on the grounds. Furthermore, keeping the grounds clean is explicitly one of the basic rules on our grounds.
