About the volunteering opportunity

Do you enjoy Instagram, love creating content, and want to support a social project? Then join our social media team!

We’re looking for motivated volunteers who’d like to help us with our social media work.
One of the goals of our social media work is to
- to expand and improve our ability to engage with our target audience in the digital space.
- Expand our reach, inform our target audience, and encourage their participation.
- Promote our location and its offerings through digital networking and marketing.

Platform in Focus:
Instagram. Automatically synced with Facebook.

Your Tasks

Target Groups:
 Priority 1: People seeking advice
Priority 2: Network and collaboration partners

 Content:
 Posts, Stories, Reels.

Examples: Presenting the location and team, presenting general services,
Promoting our group offerings, conducting surveys on needs as needed,
Promoting other offerings in the local community or from network partners,
Providing information about holidays and the team’s availability,
Providing information about local specifics (e.g., holidays, any changes to opening/closing times, etc.),
Reporting on team activities (JMD conference, JMD action day, etc.)
Sharing other information from other channels (e.g., as a Story),
General “knowledge posts” (e.g., 5 Basics for Naturalization)

Your volunteer work takes place online. There are always contact persons available to guide you through your volunteer work and assist you with any questions or feedback. We look forward to hearing from you!

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
Previous experience with social media, whether personal or in another context. Basic knowledge of German (or English or Spanish—for communicating with local colleagues); any other language is more than welcome!

Time required

Regularly
Discussed individually
On weekdays, during the day, at night
A total of 2–3 hours per week should be set aside for this. This includes both the actual creation of the posts and coordination with the staff members in charge.

Important notice

Most social media work can be done remotely. In some cases, it may be helpful to visit the office in Neukölln to take photos, etc. However, material for posts, etc., can also be captured and forwarded by the on-site staff.

Location

This project is location independent.
