About the volunteering opportunity
Those active in local politics are increasingly facing hostility. As part of our efforts to promote greater respect and support in local politics, we are seeking volunteers for strategic public relations work to help us further develop and implement our communication strategy, as well as coordinate the activities of our working groups (WGs).

Your Tasks
Responsibilities
As part of the team, you will take on strategic and/or organizational public relations tasks to coordinate the implementation of our communications strategy and serve as the liaison between the working groups, the executive office, and the board of directors.
🎯 Strategic Management
- Implementation and further development of core strategies
- Defining goals and milestones
- Delegating tasks and supporting the working groups in their implementation
📌 Organization & Facilitation
- Planning, inviting participants, and facilitating regular meetings of the Public Relations Working Group (currently held online every 4 weeks)
- Coordinating editorial planning and content approval processes
- Coordination with other working groups
- Onboarding new members

For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.

- Technical requirements – Experience with digital applications (e.g., Zoom, Google Drive) as well as basic equipment (laptop/computer, camera, microphone).
- Language skills – German at the C1 level or higher.

Our association offers concrete support for people in local politics against hate and violence, for example through targeted initial information or sensitization workshops. With the support of politicians in the local environment, we work for the preservation and strengthening of our democratic system.
