About the volunteering opportunity
Zukunftsmusik e.V. is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our annual deposit collection campaign at PAROOKAVILLE Festival.
Together with more than 60 volunteers, we collect cans and bottles with refundable deposits from the festival campsite during the day. In the evenings, we enjoy the festival together.
All proceeds directly support music education projects for children and young people, especially those from socially disadvantaged backgrounds.

Your Tasks
Working in small teams of 2–3 people, you will:
- Walk around the festival campsite collecting deposit bottles and cans.
- Hand out our collection bags to festival visitors.
- Talk to people about the work of Zukunftsmusik e.V. and our music education projects.
- Bring collected deposits to our logistics team, who will sort, seal, and store everything.
We'll explain the full process during a short introductory call.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
We're looking for people who:
- Enjoy volunteering and making a positive impact.
- Like meeting new people and starting conversations.
- Are reliable and enjoy working as part of a team.
- Have a good level of fitness – some days can involve walking up to 30,000 steps.
Time required
Once
he volunteer campaign takes place from July 14 to July 20.
- Minimum participation: 4 days
- 90% of volunteers: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 10% of volunteers: 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM
After your shift, you're free to enjoy the festival with the rest of the team.
Accommodation is provided in our dedicated volunteer camping area.

- A €100 refundable deposit is required to secure your place. It will be returned after successful participation.
- As a thank-you for your support, you'll receive a free PAROOKAVILLE Festival ticket.
- During your volunteer shifts, we also provide low-cost food and drinks.
