Sometimes you just need someone who’s there—a trusted person in a shared living community for seniors

Not everyone has family who visits regularly. That makes people who give their time, listen, and show you that you’re not alone all the more valuable.

Twelve people live here, sharing a home together. Some enjoy telling stories; others express their feelings with a glance, a smile, or a touch. Everyone has their own story—and is happy to be seen.
Our team brings together people of different ages and with very different life experiences. Together, we create a place where trust, dignity, and a zest for life are palpable. 

We’re looking for a volunteer mentor for our shared living community. Maybe you could visit us once a week for a few hours. You don’t have to be there for everyone. Maybe it all starts with sharing a cup of coffee with a resident. With a walk through the garden. With a smile that grows more familiar from week to week. The most valuable relationships often grow out of small encounters. 

As a support person, you’ll serve as an independent point of contact. You’ll listen, take requests seriously, and help ensure that the people in our shared living community are seen and heard—and that their needs are addressed.
Our shared living community is located right next to Plänterwald and features a large, park-like garden—a wonderful place for walks together and short breaks.

It’s not about feeling pressured to be everything to everyone. It’s enough to be there for one person. Maybe that will turn into two someday. And maybe that’s exactly how trust is built.

I'd be happy to work 4–8 hours a month.
