About the volunteering opportunity
Reaching People Through Social Media, Recruiting Volunteers, and Facilitating Support
For many people, the Telephone Counseling Service is an important resource during difficult times. To ensure that people continue to be aware of our services and that we reach as many people as possible, we would like to further develop our presence on social media.
To that end, we’re looking for dedicated individuals who would like to support us in the area of social media.
Your Role
You’ll help raise awareness of the work of the TelefonSeelsorge and spark people’s interest in our cause. You can contribute flexibly based on your interests, skills, and availability. You don’t need to be on-site—you can contribute from anywhere.

- Developing ideas for posts, stories, and other social media formats
- Clearly presenting our work and the importance of the TelefonSeelsorge
- Sparking people’s curiosity about volunteering with the Telephone Counseling Service
- Drawing attention to campaigns, events, and special projects
- Communicating donation options and fundraising campaigns
- Design photos, graphics, or short videos
- Write and edit social media posts
- Further develop our presence on Instagram and other platforms
- Monitor current social media trends and consider which ones align with our work

Not everyone can volunteer themselves. That’s why we also want to reach people who would like to support the Telephone Counseling Service through a donation or in other ways.

- Experience with Instagram, Canva, photography, video, or other digital design tools is welcome—but not a requirement.

No one should have to remain alone with their distress - that's why the telephone counseling service exists. Because everyone experiences times in their lives that bring them to the edge of their strength. At these times, you need someone to support you. We offer a sympathetic ear. Around the clock. For every concern. Naturally, anonymously and with a duty of confidentiality. We are there in the dark moments. Unfortunately, we can't make problems go away, but we can try to help those in despair.
We can offer perspectives and change points of view. Or simply be there. We don't treat anyone. At the same time, everyone will find an open and sympathetic ear.
Volunteering at the telephone helpline is a meaningful and very fulfilling task.
