About the volunteering opportunity
The Public Climate School (PCS) brings climate education to places where people come together: schools, colleges, libraries, museums, local communities, clubs, and many other venues throughout society. From November 9 to 15, 2026, Klimabildung e.V., Students for Future groups, and numerous partners across Germany will organize the PCS Action Week, featuring workshops, lectures, exhibitions, discussion panels, hands-on activities, and original formats. Under the motto“Learning, understanding, and taking action together,”the Action Week combines climate education with dialogue and engagement, both locally and digitally.
Your Tasks
PCS is for everyone who wants to work together to promote climate education. Because we’re convinced that change starts with education! Through a variety of initiatives, we bring climate education to schools, universities, and society.
A wide range of tasks awaits you:
- You can help us design the live lesson program,
- support the various members of our community,
- contribute to our dialogue and workshop formats—such as the Climate Dialogue Box,
- or get creative with public relations for social media and other platforms.
- PCS Youth: Here, young people between the ages of 15 and 25 can get involved and set up their own PCS program.
